Straightening Comb
When My daughter was born, I had visions of sporting her hair naturally highlighting the beautiful texture and curls of this African-American child. I didn’t want to change anything about her or her hair. I didn’t want to put her through what I went through. But as she got older it became more impossible to comb through those curls. So I went to the hair store for help. And there it was, as if transported from my mother’s kitchen, the “Straightening Comb”. Only now it’s electrical. Sorry Baby! I promise no perms.
